Shtokman-development decided today?

The leaders of the companies in the Shtokman Development consortium are gathering in Switzerland today to discuss the future of the enormous gas and condensate field north of Russia.

The three companies Gazprom, Statoil and Total may be deciding on the future of the Shtokman field. Rumors of further delays or even cancellation of the project have been lurking in the horizon for some time now. Together, Gazprom, Total and Statoil make up the consortium Shtokman Development, which have planned start in exports from the field in 2014.

The meeting held in the Swiss town of Zug today, gathers Christophe de Margerie from French Total and Helge Lund from Statoil. Gazprom has earlier this week rejects that there have been any official changes in the Shtokman plans, as stated by Financial Times.
